A Quick Capture in Portland!

Microcosm Publishing (636 se 11th ave. portland, OR 97214) at a last minute request has graciously let us occupy their front lot to set up our recording booth and listening library for three glorious days, May 24-26.  If you are human and live in Portland, please come to Microcosm Publishing next week to contribute to the audio archive.

We had an amazing time at the downtown library and were ecstatic at the amount and diversity of stories that we were able to collect. I feel as if the stories have become a part of my greater being, floating around in my head as I revisit them.

We are sifting and cataloging the stories now and hopefully soon you shall see them seep onto the site and beyond. Check back for details.

We want to send a special thanks to Clint without whom this whole thing would have stayed in our minds and scattered notebooks.

And the New came to pass...

A New web interface has come to be! We hope that you enjoy.

Also, we are drawing nearer to the "Local Narratives" installation (Nov. 15th - 28th) being held in the main library, downtown Salt Lake City. The installation, located in the Shared Space section of the library, will be displaying excerpts from past stories, while focusing on capturing new stories from visitors of the library via a small recording booth. There will also be cassettes with self-addressed envelopes located through out the library for patrons unable to record in the recording booth.

So, polish up your gift of gab and come and tell us a story!
